NEW EVENT: Freshers’ SUAD

Oct 05

Freshers’ SUAD (Moulin Rouge Special)
Thursday October 9th
Revolution, 9pm-2am.

SUAD is every Thursday at Revolution. We play the very best music - Indie, Electro, Disco, Dance & Pop - to the biggest student crowds in Cambridge. Resident DJs Jono Cary and Olly Riley-Smith are on the decks for the first SUAD of the new term.

PLUS We’re spicing things up with a very glitzy Moulin Rouge theme. Top hats, feather boas and an underdeveloped sense of decency are all encouraged.

Conjuring up that Parisian ‘je ne sais quoi’ we’ll have the club decked out in all kinds of frippery with stilt walkers, fire breathers and dancing girls serving up delectable drinks and giveaway goodies to get you into that decadent spirit.

On top of that we’ve got a vodka luge serving free shots all evening.

Fantastic drinks offers on the night will include:

£1 flavoured vodka shots
£1.50 bottles of VK and Stella Artois
£2.25 pints of Becks Vier
£4.25 selected cocktails

SUAD wristbands are £3 advance. These will be on sale from all SUAD reps from Monday October 6th. There are SUAD reps in every college:

Christs - Pierre Hyde
Corpus - Cat Davidson
Clare - Joe Kibbler
Emma - James Slack
Fitz - Liam Conlon
Caius - Josh Baker and Paul Britton
Homerton - Chloe Orchin
Jesus - Phil Haddleton

(If you’re the Ents Officer for your college and you’d like to be a SUAD rep please get in touch. There are many perks!)

Otherwise you can get in touch with Matt at ents-manager@cusu.cam.ac.uk to reserve large orders of wristbands. Or you can buy direct from CUSU any time between 9-5 weekdays at the CUSU office in the New Museum’s Site.

You can also get entry on the night for £4 if you just turn up. But be warned this night will sell out and space inside the venue will be VERY LIMITED.

This year both the downstairs and the upstairs will be exclusively reserved for SUAD meaning everybody pays in on the door.

Also the dress code has been scrapped by Revolution. There’s no more dress code on a Thursday night (apart from the obvious: don’t turn up starkers or wearing head-to-toe Burberry). Trainers are allowed.
